Today a new Dutch Dare was posted on our blog and it is all about abundance (=overdaad).

I made a layout about Pakjesavond. On this evening Zwarte Pieten will bring all the kids in Holland lots of presents. Most of the time it is way too much, but who cares? Sinterklaas loves to spoil my kids (hehe). You'll see how happy my girls are with all they got last year.

Today is the coldest 1st of December ever. The temperature is -5 degrees Celcius, but because of the extreme cold wind, it feels like -15 degrees Celcius. I only went out today to bring and pick up the girls to/from school, luckily on Wednesday they only have to go in the morning. We spent the afternoon crafting, playing computer-games, watching TV, eating chocolate and drinking hot tea. I just {love} those afternoons. I even managed to complete a layout, which I will show in the next post.

This blogpost is for my sister, who is over the moon thrilled that her favorite performers of all time are back and coming to Holland for a concert next year…(in fact I'm a bit jealous of not being able to go to the concert, but hey, we are on holiday in Florida then!)

Here they are: Take That with Robbie Williams. They performed at the Voice of Holland last Friday-evening and they ROCKED!!!

In Holland, we celebrate Sinterklaas' birthday on December 5th. In the evening, one of Sinterklaas' helpers, Zwarte Piet, rings the doorbell, knocks on the windows and brings big bags full of presents for the kids. I thinks it is similar to Santa Claus, except there is no tree involved (hehe)!

On November 14, Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten arrived in our little village.

After a welcomespeech, everybody goes to the local hotel, to have a big party!

Lisanne and her friends performed a dance for Sinterklaas, they practiced a lot and were very serious about it. There performance was great, have a look:

In the evening, there was a great surprise for the girls, 'cause Zwarte Piet came to our house with a little present for them.

You can imagine, we all had a lovely day!

Furthermore a lot is going on in our little household: Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten arrived, Lisanne and her friends performed for him, we celebrated Lisanne’s 8th birthday last Sunday, hubbie is travelling abroad, tonight swimminglessons, Lisanne has a sleepover at her club tomorrowevening, so we keep ourselves quite busy. More on those things in a later post. I now have to run!

Yesterday-afternoon, the girls and I went to see the movie Foeksia de miniheks. We had a blast. It’s a lovely film about the cutest mini-witch you have ever seen.

Off to scrap a bit, until the girls come back from school.
